Getting inspiration from the colour of the year!!

Hiya guys!  Happy Sunday!  Hope you are all having a great day!

At the start of the week I was aiming to have a wee interior design-y post ready for you all…but I underestimated how long it would take me to do visual sketches with lots of colour and detail (understatement :S).  I had totally forgotten how long it takes me to do visuals!!

However, I will carry on with these visuals and hopefully put them on the blog in a few weeks or so…as a continuation of this post!

So, initially I was planning to do this post on a specific colour and include a few ideas on how you can use it in decorating and designing.  But, as my visuals are not complete I thought I would introduce the colour in this post.  The colour I’m on about is Marsala, which is a lovely dark wine-y red colour…and the colour of the year 2015 according to Pantone!

I’ve taken a few photos of items I have in this colour, just to give you an idea.

Lipstick shade – Rosetto

Gold, teal, cream and grey colours work really well with Marsala!

Chalk pastel residue

Okay guys, that’s all I have for this week.  Keep an eye out for the next part of this post in a few weeks!

Thanks so much for reading!! :)

Have a fab week and take care! Xxx
